I know you can't tell me what to major in, no one can, really, but could you please give me a few suggestions based on my interests and strengths? Also, some ideas as for schools (I would prefer to go up north; NY, Boston, etc.) would help too :) Thanks a lot, in advance!

Interests/strengths:
-Politics
-English/literature/writing
-Philosophy
-History (but I don't think I would really want to major in it)
-Government
-International relations, etc.

Law, perhaps? It gives you an advanced degree (if you get it) with the opportunity to make big bucks in a short period of time, as well as the possibility to transition into politics someday. I have some friends doing just that, and they have essentially the same interests that you listed.

Political Science is very interesting, but lately isn't very strong at all in the workplace. Definitely consider philosophy. It's strong in both the workplace and if you choose to go on to law school, it's the most succesful major by percent of accepted law school applications.

Harvard and Princeton are the best schools for your interests, especially up north.

Talk to your guidance counselor at school. They have access to great materials to help you pick out interests and a major. Also, when you go on to college, talk to your adviser.

Your intrests sound like P.S. or American government. You should research some careers in those fields first in order to get a better feel for what you would like to pursue!!! My interests were law & criminal justice while I was in college, but now that I have graduated & I work in that filed I realized that it wasnt the best thing I could have done. I dont make much money & theres only a little bit of room to grow really!! I wish I would have researched different careers before I chose my major & graduated!!!!
