you can't absorb it, but if you have strong enough kegel muscles you can hold it in until the feeling passes.

The answer to this question is yes and no.
No. There is no such thing as "absorbing" an ejaculate. However, a guy is capable of having an orgasm without ejaculating semen. It's a practice which is studied in tantric sex as a way for a man to have multiple orgasms.
Also, when a guy ejaculates he usually shoots it out of his penis but it is possible to hold most of it in and if you manually hold it, the semen will then go backwards up the tract into his bladder. So the semen will not come out of his body when he ejaculates. Technically, this isn't him absorbing it because eventually, it will come out the next time he urinates. A lot of boys do this when they first discover masturbation but it's not a healthy thing to do and it can actually damage your prostate and potentially cause a bladder or urinary tract infection.
If your boyfriend is doing this, tell him to stop because it's not good for him.

That's some dude making stuff up. He knows less than you do.... and doesn't know what's going on with his body to have that concept in his head. Maybe he has had an orgasm with no ejaculate (it is possible to ejaculate without an orgasm too ~ you really have no mental control over this process) and he somehow thought that he "absorbed it". Complete nonsense.
When you do ejaculate it is involuntary. You can't stop it. You can squeeze your urethra shut.. but that doesn't cause you to absorb it either...
Even if you have had an operation called a vasectomy to stop pregnancy, your sperm are re-absorbed by your body but your ejaculate fluid is not.

Men who are practiced in Tantric techniques can use a method called 'the big draw' to delay or avoid ejaculation while still reaching that level of heightened excitement. However, this is not a good basis for birth control!

Uhhh... well it is physically possible to pinch and squeeze a certain way so that the sperm ejaculates into the bladder, though I can't imagine it's particularly safe to do. As for "choosing" to do it, it certainly isn't a mental thing; it would require physical manipulation of the area.
Conversely, he might be talking about tantric sex, which I know little about. Certainly the glorious wikipedia has an article on it.

There are some guys that can orgasm without ejaculating, but I don't think it actually absorbs. Plus, i've heard it's not nearly as enjoyable as just letting it all go.
Anyway, don't try it without protection so you can find out if you can do it without the possibility of cumming in her and getting her pregnant.

If a guy applies a bit of pressure to his perinium (This is the space between his penis and his anus) just as he orgasms it can stop him from ejaculating but this is definitely not a means of contraception and is really only to stop the mess or allow him to try and keep going for round 2.

Um yes and no would be my answer. You can definately have some control over ejaculating with the muscles in your penis. And it might be true that some sperm will stay in the penis. But no sperm is absorbed... any remaining in will be pee'd out next time you urinate.

It reaches a point when a man is about to ejaculate and when it reaches that point, you can't hold it. Unless, one decides to stop before reaching that point, then you can hold it. I dont think the word "absorb" is the right word to choose. lol
