I love blockbuster online. Their total access deal allows 3 movies out at a time for $17.99/month. You can either send the movies back through the envelope that blockbuster provides or you can return them in the store. With this deal (the cheaper one do not offer this), if you return your movie to the store, you get a free in-store rental (it must be used right then). A new movie arrives 2 days after I return one in-store. I have a blockbuster right up the road from me so it's perfect. You also get a monthly e-coupon for an in-store rental. I've never had a problem with scratched or unviewable DVDs.
This is true for netflix as well, but the best part is that you can add movies to your queue (movies to be shipped) that have not yet been released, and they are in your mailbox THE DAY THEY ARE RELEASED. Not shipped, but you have it in your hands.
As for burnt copies, I hear that people use a program called dvdfab platinum to burn. They tell me that it's great because the program compresses the movie (since many are too large to fit on a regular single layer dvd) and burns it all in a single process. Most cloning programs do not do this, requiring more than one program and you wasting a lot of time sitting around watching your computer waiting for the next step in the process.
Obviously, I highly recommend the blockbuster total access, especially if you have a blockbuster nearby. It's nice to have the OPTION of the store, especially if you're running out of ideas for your queue. If not, it would be a coin toss between blockbuster and netflix. Good luck!!

Well, if you're going to watch illegal copies, best not to advertise it.
However, between Blockbuster or NetFlix, I'd have to go with NetFlix. From what I've experienced, they have a wider variety and a larger library, and the movies themselves are in much better condition.
A friend of mine also has it, and one of the movies was damaged in transit, so they went ahead and sent him another before he even knew about it. He didn't know they did all of this until he checked his e-mail the next day.
Most DVDs I've rented from Blockbuster are scratched beyond repair if they've been available longer than a couple of weeks. I can't count how many times I've had to go back and exchange a movie just to get it to work. I've never had that problem with NetFlix.

I really like blockbuster online. It may be a little bit more than netfilx but it offers so much more. Not only do you get the movies in the mail but you can take them to the blockbuster store and exchange them for more. Then blockbuster online sends you more. My husband and I were getting about 24 movies a month. It's definitely worth the $20 a month.

Netflix. Well, I never used Blockbuster's online renting because I hate Blockbuster, although they may have a lot of selection ONLINE, in store they dont have anything, plus in my opinion I think their service sucks. Also, now with Netflix they have a pretty decent selection of what movies you can watch on their website. Plus, the point of renting movies online is to do it online, instead of going out of your way to go to a store and wait in line, searching, for the movie you want.

I guess I would say blockbuster because you can always go to the store and swap out movies instead of waiting for them to come into the mail...however blockbuster sometimes may have "hidden fees." When I had netflix I enjoyed it, it only took the movies about 2-3 days to get to me.

Best is getting outside and taking in some fresh air. The heck with tv, movies, etc. I think its crazy how people can be so into television.
Now don't get me wrong, I rent movies every now and then, I get them from Family Video. Kids movies are free everyday, even when you don't rent anything else. New releases are $2.00.
Blockbuster is too expensive. and Netflix is just for lazy people who don't even want to drive to the movie place.

Blockbuster. They have this deal where you can take your mailed movies back to the store and get a different movie. They then send them back for you. Plus you get so many vouchers a month to go to the store and get movies. Go to their site and check them out. Good Luck!
