Saturday we had a waitress at Applebee's that had beautiful blue eyes and a dazzling smile! Her personality was bubbly and she had good energy, but it was all spoiled by the dark flooding of tattoos on her arms. This petite little flower was so sweet and attractive but her arms looked dirty and cheap from tattoos. Now you want to serve me food?

I agree that tattoes are gross. But you should still respect her.

you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.i have 3 tatoos and when i waited on tables i got good tip money. a waiter/waitress is there to serve you and bring good custmor service , she/he is not there to be judged.their there to make a living like anyone else and because of what he/she has on their body or what's done in the past shouldn't matter.as far as being cheap i quess that all depends on the way the tats look.hay you gotta give her credit.... at least she's working and not sitting around getting a welfare check off the taxpayers every month.give her a break, she was sweet wasn't she????? as far as the respect i got respect and sometime i didn't i quess you have to smile and take what ever comes at you

I don't think waiters or waitresses get much respect with or with out tats. But judging by her bubbly personality and her good energy, I'll bet the tats were the new style and were just beautiful. And if they were full sleeves, they were far from cheap.

I think that some customers respect me, but not all. They are quick to assume that I'm just an idiot who can't do anything but take a food order. It never occurs to them that I am a college student who is just there to make some money to get through school. If you had great service, then you should have tipped on that and not her appearance. Obviously she had a great personality and that is the most important thing.

It sounds like you are less interested in being served food and more interested in your waitress. Sorry the girl of your dreams had a tattoo.
I used to manage restaurants and never let my staff show any tattoos or piercings. Servers are not working to show off their bodies, they are there to do a job, make money and represent the business.

i think some of the customers respect their waitress and waitresses it all depend on the waiter and watress. if they have a pleasant attitued then the customer will like them if they come up and is a sob, don't speak, don't ask at least do you need anything then that is when the probably come in

APPLEBEE'S ??? aw come on now - where do you think you were ? you want a "fine dining" experience ? try digging into your pocket and go somewhere else. and by the way, would you rather have had a bitchy waitress with NO tattoos ?

Personally, I like tats. That wouldn't affect the food experience.

It's more about good service. For Good Service, I would have tipped 20-30%.

I hope you did, too.
