Yep.
Clearly many don't realize a a "little ice age" just ended in the late 1800s. Coming out of that would mean warming earth possibly to the point it was pre-1500 before the little ice age began.

Some Simple Facts:
Yes, there is Global Warming. It has happened before and it will happen again. Example: Middle ages, the global warming was obviously caused by man then also.
The Ice caps have melted, on average, an insignificant amount, causing the sea level to rise an insignificant amount. I have heard claims that 40% of the ice caps are already gone. If that were true, the sea level would have risen 3 feet. Serious misinformation.
Man contributes only minimally to global warming. I have heard claims that 90% of Climate scientists say man outright caused the global warming. That is an outright lie. The figure is more like 10%. Maybe 90% percent believe that Man CONTRIBUTES BUT NOT CAUSES global warming. Misinformation.
Global warming is a political tool used to divert attention from Big Oils raping of America. It is the latest in a line of intentional distractions by politicians. As others have said the “flavor of the month”. What has your politician done about Big Oil. Probably nothing or misinformation.
Global warming is real but used by Alarmists by horrific exaggerations and careful misinformation. These Alarmists spout various facts and figures with little or no truth while denouncing anything that contradicts their views. I often think their actions remind me of psycho sports fans who freak out if you dare to say anything is wrong with their team.
There is good in the global warming debate. It will reduce pollution and increase energy efficiency. I don’t need lies and misinformation to get me to believe that.

It has to warm up a bit to come out of an ice age. But the question is how much. Global warming advocates talk as if it's going to warm up so much that it'll kill everybody. That isn't necessary to end an ice age.

Some people say we are coming out of an ice age, so maybe you are right. The problem is that the human race seems to be doing things that making it happen at a rate that will be dangerous to our civilization and to large chunks of the global ecosystem.
The planet might very well be warming up without u belching out trillions of tons of CO2, but it would be happening at a much slower and stable rate. Some species would be lost when they couldn't evolve quickly enough, but most would adapt and survive. The rate of warming due to our influence means almost nothing, save maybe insects, can adapt quickly enough.

no it is what happens just before an Ice Age. What I don't understand is why cons are so resistant to admit that 200 years of exponentially rising levels of fossil fuel pollutants in the atmosphere is leading to major climatic changes. They know about the Ozone and the resulting increase in ultraviolet radiation. You can go outside any summer day in a major city and see the immediate effects of auto pollution. Why can't they just agree that we should be more environmentally conscious. It will help us become independent of foreign oil if we stop using oil and oil byproducts. It would substantially defund terrorism.

The meaning of the words "GLOBAL WARMING" has changed. In the past whe you said TV everyone knew that you were talking about a Black & White TV unless you said otherwise. Now when you talk about TV everyone knows you mean a colour TV unless you say otherwise. In the same way now when you say "GLOBAL WARMING" everyone assumes that you mean to say "man made" "GLOBAL WARMING" so the meaning of the words has changed. It would be incorrect and misleading today to call natural "GLOBAL WARMING" simply "GLOBAL WARMING" in the same way it would be misleading to refer to a Black and White TV as simply a TV or stem cells from other than an embryo simply as stem cells.

As far as i know global warming doesn't have to happen. In fact it's best if it doesn't happen. It's starts with all of the bad pollution going into our atmosphere. So, pollution doesn't have to happen, so I don't think global warming "has to happen" either. If you want to make a difference I am having people sign a petition against making coal, one of the dirtiest of fossil fuels, into gas. Check out moveon.org for more info. Thanks!!

If polar caps keep melting the result WILL be an ice age. The glaciers are what keep Europe and the UK temperate. I for one do not want to freeze my a*s*s off because some numbnut doesn't believe in global warming.

NOPE
Global Warming is the result of atmospheric CO2. THAT IS THE SCIENTIFIC DEFINITION.
This is different from what causes Ice Ages, which are the result of a number of factors including variation in the sun and the earths orbit around the sun.
AGAIN GLOBAL WARMING IS HEAT RETAINED BY ATMOSPHERIC CO2, THAT IS ALL.

I think you are misunderstanding what global warming is. No one is stating that the world doesnt go through climate changes over long courses of time but the difference is that HUMANS are the cause for this change instead of the earth naturally. The temperature that we would expect the earth to be is different than what it is because we are affecting the earth's temperature.
