When I wander sleepily into thought and then "see" the trickster at work! I marvel that I have been fooled for so long! What a joke!!

Waking up in the morning I look outside and wonder at all of God's creation and am amazed by it. As a biologist, I see how everything is so perfectly balanced in nature every day. There has to be (and I believe there is) a planning force behind it all. Nothing in life is really random.

When I actually take the time to look at all I have accomplished, and actually give myself credit for those accomplishments, just a few quick seconds, before going back to modesty. You can't get all of your self-esteem from others, it has to start within you, and boy I've got a lot!

It's never any one thing, just certain moments that hit me, like walking through the woods and seeing the sunlight streaming through the trees, or watching plants that I've planted actually growing.
