Humans need water within a few days at most and several weeks for food. But, of course, the water requirement depends on how hot and dry it is and the food on how fat you are! In the desert in the summer, without water or shade, a person might not last the day (but that would also be overheating).

Air??? No more than 5 mins without air would be fatal.

Well, as a nurse I have seen people die from the above and in my anecdotal view people live for about 3 minutes without air, about 4 to 5 days without water and months without food if kept hydrated.

Water:
My Survival teacher in the Forces told me that, with training, you can live a month in the desert on 2 pints of water - but although he had good reasoning, I would hate to try it!

Food:
Depends entirely on your body build, and your needs. Someone in a cell all day doing nothing burns less calories than a bricklayer.

Air:
About 3 minutes top whack - although you could be revived after about 10 minutes, but with possible brain damage through lack of oxygen.

I think Bobby Sands, the Irish prisoner, went about 56 days without food or water. But you will need to look that up.

Don't Do It !.........

Wwithout foods for weeks, with water for days, without air for minutes.
Cause u can store food as well as the fact that water is not lost that easily from our body but air cannot be stored, you can survive WITHOUT air for seconds but without food and water, u have no energy, thus resulting in death

There is a general rule of thumb for this, although it will vary greatly from person to person, and by conditions, such as weather. Anyway, they say its 5 minutes for air, 5 days for water, 5 weeks for food.
