Who is your ISP? Right click on that little computer next to your clock that has a blue screen and hit repair.

First make sure the SSID of the wireless network you're connecting to is the one you're really trying to connect to and not some neighbor's network. If for certain this is the network you're looking for, then the router may have a password (Secure network) on it. You can find this out by performing the following steps:
1. Connect to the wireless router with your laptop via network cable (RJ45)
2. Go to Start.
3. Click on Run...
4. Type cmd
5. Hit Enter
6. In the black dos window that pops up, type ipconfig
7. This should give you some network information, ip address, default gateway, etc.
8. Look at the default gateway, it should be something like
192.168.1.1
9. Enter that ip address into an Internet Explorer.
10. You will be prompted for a login.
11. Different routers have different logins, consult your owner's manual for the router. If you have never done this before, then you most likely don't have a password on your router, cause it would need to be setup once for it to have a password.
12. Reboot.

Is your computer configured for dynamic IP addressing, if so, is your wireless gateway giving you an IP address?

First thing to do is run "ipconfig" from the command line to see if you got an IP address.
