What are some fun things to do in Chicago.

Although there aren't many Historical Sites, there are plenty of things to do.
As the previous person suggested the museums, Wrigley and so on is/are terrific. Add to that, Wicked, The Chicago Sympony, Michigan Avenue and the Mircle Mile. Great America. Lincoln Park and Brookfield Zoos and you can fill the better portion of a week here in Chicago.
Also remember this. The really neat thing is most of this is available via Public Transportation. So having to have a car in Chicago is almost not neccessary.

Boat ride from Navy Pier, several types to choose from.
Great America Amusement Park actually in Gurnee, IL
Arlington Race Track (Bet on the ponies or just watch.)
Museums: Major
Art Institute
Alder Planetarium
Field Museum
Shedd Aquarium
Museum of Science & Industry
Museums: smaller/less known/visited
Oriental Museum
Chicago Historical Society/Museum
Architectural tour by boat or walking.
Other walking/bus tours including Al Capone, cemeteries, etc.
Free concerts depends on when you are coming.
Taste of Chicago (food, music fest) June 29th through July 8th.

I would definately go to the Shedd Aquarium; it's awesome. So much to do in Chicago. Sears Tower, Art museums, science museums, chill out at Lake Michigan, enjoy the scenery of all the tall buildings, shopping downtown, oh and don't forget the Navy Pier. Hope this helps. Have fun.

The Field Museum (natural history) was my favorite part of Chicago.

The "Taste of Chicago" is lots of fun. Food, music, people. It's in the summer and ends 4th of July Weekend. (I think)Check it out.

Definetly u'll love Navy Pier at this time of year u cud rent a boat or ski boat. and the museums u'll love and the shopping is the best!
