only if weight and height match like in swimming, maybe but you can't match up a 6 foot 5 guy to a 5 foot 6 woman, unfair advantage

because believe it or not most men don't actually want to hit a woman. Too hard for us to shake the woman are the weaker of the species thing...

That may be true....but there are still more men who have more upper body strenghth than women and after a while it wouldn't seem to be sporting.
