how do you remove kerosene from water in well?

my heating tank has leaked heating fuel into my well it is floating on the top in a light slick. Any advice as to my next move any chemists out there

Not trying to be funny...would there be detrimental effect from burning the oil?

Is it possible to get a floating pool skimmer down in your well?

I'll bet there are some old WWII submarine sailors who can tell you that you can get used to drinking diluted #2 diesel, however I'd look into a filtration system.
