After looking all over the place I have come up empty handed so I decided to give it a try and ask:

What was a popular form of entertainment during 1900-39 [movies, music, dance, etc]?

Who was a famous star during that period [a singer, movie star, dancer, etc]?

Thanks...

Movies would be good; this spans the era from the silent films to the talkies. Try Laurel and Hardy as comedy/movie stars.
