Take the baby to the doctor just to rule out any infections or anything. Especially, if you have other children in the home... Also, some children especially at that age only eat certain things so you might have to test other food options on her. Try mashed pototoes, macaroni/cheese... If all that fails try pediasure. It's a bit expensive, if you can't afford that try carnation instant breakfast and throw a banana in it...

how recently did you adopt her? maybe she is not used to you yet, or she is accustomed to eating certain foods or prepared certain ways. Try anything, some babies like hot foods, or cold or warm. some like texture and some need it to be completely pureed. My son has insisted on feeding himself since he was about 7 months and would scoff at the idea of us spoon feeding him. She may also be teething, if you're desperate, you can switch back to bottles for awhile (they are very comforting and provide a good, although not balanced, source of nutrition). You're still getting used to each other. Give it time and go see your doctor if the problem is getting worse or if she appears dehydrated/malnourished.

Is she normally fussy? (Aside from when she is eating). If that is all she is eating you NEED to take her to a physician. That is not enough to sustain her. She may have some physical problems and possibly some emotional issues. I know she is only 1, but she may have some aversion to eating if there was any trauma. What to you know about her prior to the adoption? Try feeding her when she is calm. Possibly right before of after a nap. Sit in a quiet place with no other distractions. BUT PLEASE, take her to a professional who can help with this.

Your daughter needs to be seen by a pediatrician, immediately, like 1 week ago!
Something is definitely wrong with her!
She could be suffering from dehydration, an ear infection, flu virus or any type of virus.
Call the pediatrician's office today for an appointment asap.
The time you're spending on the internet asking those of us in cyberspace for an answer, is the time you should be seeking medical attention for your toddler.

she probably is still not comfortable. It will take time. Give her plenty of options.
You should consult a physician and see what they say about getting her to eat. It cant be healthy for her if she's going weeks with out proper nutrition.
Check with the adoption agency and see what she was given there...that way you can get her something she is used to.
good luck!

She must fell strange its a new place and people that she has to get use-to. Try and ask her what she use to eat before she got there or to draw a picture of her favorite foods. If that doesn't work try baby food for a while.

Take her to the doctor to rule out any medical reasons as to why she's not eating.

Could be possible that she hasn't had anything but formula or milk. Have you taken her to a Doctor to have a physical , to see if she's okay.
