Hannibal Rising was a great book, I haven't seen the movie, but the book goes further in depth into the flashbacks that Hannibal has in the book Hannibal. It explains why he became a cannibal, and really gets into his psyche. I think the movie would be OK but if I were you, I'd read the book!

It actually taste like pork. A pig's flesh is 96% like of a human. This is why it s forbidden in Islam and Judaism, it is also forbidden in Christianity, but people have manipulated it. And pig's flesh contains worms, no matter how many times you cook the flesh, heat it, the worms will not go.

there is a scene where Hannibal is with a chef and he tells Hannibal that the juiciest part of the fish is the cheek. Later he kills a butcher and cuts out and eats his cheeks.

that and he was forced to eat a stew made with parts of his little sister.

Yes it explains it. That's what the movie is about. It's really good too so I won't tell you why he's a cannibal. :-)
