Why is this attitude so accepted? I don't like people assuming things about me because I'm white. If the stereotype about me is true, isn't it possible that a lot of people that aren't white do the same things?

Case and point
STEREOTYPE:
All black people like fried chicken.
I like fried chicken.
Therefore I must be black.

See? it doesn't make sense it is just inductive reasoning.

Yes, I agree. What you can do is really make 'em stop dead in their tracks... next time dont order the chicken, order the veal.
Haha

According to the stereotypes I've heard here, I should be on my knees constantly worshiping statues, accepting the Virgin Mary as my personal lord and savior, plotting wild conspiracies against Protestants, and not daring to make a single move without Papal consent. Oh, and we Catholics aren't even Christians anyway, at least according to about a thousand different posts here in R&S. Anyway, at least we're not the only ones being bashed. The Wiccans, atheists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and everybody else gets to join in the fun and have their beliefs and opinions slammed, as well.

Most people that admit they're racist, really aren't. I'm really not racist, but the jokes are so funny. lol. And I'm not racist because when I tell the jokes I tell them equally about each race. That is what most people do. People who really stereotype are like my step dad. If he sees a black person with a do rag he sais, "Yo yo yo, I just stole some bikes, yo yo yo this is pimpin." Or someone that sees someone of a different race and asumes things about him, like that he probably works at a blah blah blah. Or even if he's balled and has a small beird that he must be a pervet serial killer. Thats just as much racist. Or stereotyping. Mabye I'm stereotyping right now by saying who is really doing it and who is not. Therefore nothing means everything and the world as we know it could be a backwards confusion of everything causing itself. But, I don't know. Now I'm confused. A best answer would be nice??? I put a lot of time in this. Pleeeaaaaaasssee?

Most people that stereotype and generalize, have small brains and can't come up with any critical thought or analysis so they resort to lumping all people together. Just shows a lack of intelligence on their part and not on the group or groups they are attempting to lump together.

If all black people like fried chicken and watermelon that just makes them smart.

EDIT: Are there people who just go around and give everyone a negative response?

pardon me? "EVERYONE" ? I most strenuously object to people "painting" others with a wide brush. NOT EVERYONE shares such attitudes.
