girls who wear glasses?

girls who wear glasses and can't see without them... can you tell me something about your glasses.. for example: why you have to wear them? did you lose them? can you see without them? and many many extra things about your glasses.. thank you... only girls.

My glasses are my best friend. I am shortsighted and so I need to use them all the time (even at home). I've been using them since I was in 9th grade. I didn't do anything bad to my eyes, but both my mom and dad wear glasses and so I inherited that doubled from them.

Anyway - I love my glasses! I really don't mind the fact that I have to wear them. I look cute and smart with them. I choose my frames very carefully and make sure that they do not affect the features of my face. The only reason my avatar isn't wearing glasses is because I don't like the frames Yahoo! offers.

They rarely ever bother, for example when I go swimming (where I cannot use my glasses and won't risk contact lenses).

And as much as I love them, I have to let them rest at home every once in a while and replace them with lenses just for a short period of time.

I never lost my glasses. I always keep them next to me when I'm not wearing them = when I'm sleeping. When I wear lenses, I still carry them in my bag because I can totally rely on them but cannot rely on lenses as much.

I'm planning to get myself a new pair very soon.

Okay, what else do you want to know?

I know I said a lot, but as I explained earlier, they are my best friend!!!

Really very interesting responses. All really seemed much more comfortable wearing than they are without them even though some also had contacts to wear. Being a retired optician all the young ladies said they were nearsighted which i found true in my working days that nearly all the young people I saw were nearsighted. Back in my dating days I always dated the girls that wore glasses and most of them wore their glasses full time. I can give you girls a little secret. Most when they see an attractive young lady wearing glasses one of the first things they wonder is how she must look without her glasses. Don't get me wrong we love the glasses but its the mystery that your glasses offer. By the way all of you seem to not be short of self confidence about wearing your glasses. i love the fact that not one of you said that you felt you were more attractive without your glasses.
You ladies rock, if I were 35 years younger I would date every one of you.

I have been using glasses since I was 15 years old, it is genetics because my mom also wear them ( daddy has a great vision even at 77 years old)

I think I am still too young for lasik and besides that I am a coward for surgeries. I need glasses at all time or my eye sight is very blurry. I suffer myopia and astigmatism
I alter the use of glasses with daily , one use contacts. I have lost over 30 pairs of glasses in the last 16 years, generally I have 2 pairs at all time just in case I lose one ( again).
I get mine at the Walmart, I tried everything from high designer to no frame but I always find something nice and cheap at the Walmart without over paying for frames or glasses and the quality is very good
I cannot wear contact while in a airplane because they over-dry so I carry my glasses , I travel constantly around US and overseas and I lost most of my glasses at airports or airplanes.
I prefer very light glasses because I have to use them for long periods of time and my nose and ear can feel uncomfortable and even hurt, especially when I drive for hours.
Glasses look sexy! but sometimes you better use just contacts for a clear looking face.

I wear glasses because i cant see far away. I cant even see things clearly that are three feet or so away. Everything is just blurry. I wear my glasses all the time, I like to see everything clearly all the time. I have brown plastic frames that i really like. Nothing has happened to this pair except that my son took them in the living room and our puppy chewed on the right lens a little. It is on the outside edge of the lens so i can still see through it. Past pairs i have had were metal frames and they always got bent out of shape and they never sat right on my face. I hate it when the lens get scratched too.

So, wha'd you like to know about my glasses?

Why I have to wear them? Genetics, runs in the family that we are short-sighted.

Do I lose my glasses? Sometimes... and the WORST part is you can't look for your glasses when you don't have your glasses on! Because you cannot see well!

Can I see without them? Nuhhh, I don't think so... It's scary, what if something happens to the world (war for example) and we lose our glasses and can't replace them? That's a nightmare to me! :P

A few months ago, my glasses fell in the street (I had a field-study activity), and by the time I realized, a car had run over it.... I had to drive back home using my friend's glasses! Uhhhhh terrible...

Oh and by the way, my glasses are navy (color) and half framed...

I can go on forever ;)

I have to wear mine at all times, the doctor said i must.
but u know i can see as well with out them, but then my eyes will start to run water if i keep it off to long like half the day and my eyes will also get red.

I lost my first glasses many time but i always seem to find it.
some times when i am in front the computer for a long time with the glasses the corner of my eyes will start to heart and make water.
Though matter what people say i love my glasses.

I'm wearing glasses but mostly contacts I would go out witha guy that wears glasses all the way, he will understand and he will like me with glasses too nope glasses aren't a turn off but i think i look better without yeap glasses makes you look more sexy and classy...I have met people that are sexier with glasses

I cant see things which are even a metre away from me without them. I never really lost my glasses.. I mean they are practically my eyes now.... I did break them though.. dropped them down a couple of times.
Mine are just plain and with a black frame. Right now I'm wearing Seventh Street but I usually go for Fcuk or Givenchy.
I cant say i enjoy wearing them but I guess I brought it upon myself... I used to read alot when I was young so I think thats the reason i got them...
but i guess they're okay

I wear glasses. I wear them because without them I can't see well. I break them a lot because I'm into sports and am not very careful with them. Yes I can see without them but not very well. My glasses are are the color of dark red.

1)i have to wear my glasses because i hate wearing my contacts and i have really really bad vision

2) i never lost them lost them, but when i do my hair i take my glasses off and i always forget where i placed them so i spend a while looking for them. since with out them on i cant see any thing i have a hard time finding them even when they are right in front of me. im getting frustrated cause i cant find them but then it turns out that they are sitting on my dresser. its sad

3)no. not at all. i have walked into furniture and other things at my house when i wasn't wearing them

4)i like my glasses. i got them from lens crafters and they are so cool. they have strips going down the sides. i didn't notice the strips when i picked them out but i get so many complements on my glasses strips. the frame is a dark blue but they look black. and they are sorta small on me its time i go and get a bigger size. i have worn contacts for years, just recently started with glasses. now that i wear them i would probably never go back to wearing contacts.
