I would have given anything to "call my Dad"............he passed away when I was 11 years old.............

Don't let too much time pass before you talk with him again and make sure he knows you love him!

Wish I could have. He's passed away. Instead my husband called his father. And I called some other close relatives that have kids. Then my hubby and I celebrated his two grown sons by making a great meal. So I said it to my husband too even though their my step kids and I had nothing to do with birthing them! But I love 'em.

I called my dad AND my brother (who is also a dad). We have to give credit to all the good dads we know, not just our own. My husband, of course, is the best daddy--just ask my girls.

I drove up and visited with him personally for the afternoon with my girls.
He's getting on in years so I really try and spend time with him as much as I can.
We're close enough distance wise that we have dinner together most Monday nights.

I wish, no long distance plan includes Heaven.
I made up for it by spoiling my husband. It was his first Father's Day.
