We blamed them for working with Bush and going to war, and we blame them for working with Bush to try and end it? When do we stop blaming congress for Bush and the republican strategy, and start forcing the party of accountability to take some credit? I have never seen those who tout support for the war distance themselves so far from taking responsibiltiy...

There is so much pressure to end the war in Iraq, that no matter who is president or who is in charge of congress, we will be out of Iraq in less than 2 years. It seems to take more planning to safely withdraw our troops than it did to get them there.

Thank-you for pointing out that today's Republicans are incapable of taking responsibility for their own actions.

I really think that it is the Rove strategy to find the biggest weaknessed of his own party or candidate and then to figure out a way of accusing the OTHER side of that same thing.

No matter how obsurd the accusation, it has the effect of neutralizing the weakness of his own candidate.

EG - Bush avoided serving in Vietnam, so accuse Kerry of dishonorable service in Vietnam.

Bush philosophy (I can't believe I just used those two words together) is to be selfish and blame others. Wrap this in rhetoric based on taking personal responsibility.

I think the majority of Democrats voted to cut off funds for the war, which is the Constitutional means for the Congress to end Bush's Iraqi Quaqmire.

In the next election, voters should count up the number of Americans who will have died because all Republican Congressmen and some Democratic Congressmen voted to continue to sacrifice American soldiers in Iraq's civil war. Then cut off funds to those Congressmen by voting them out of office.

(Ron Paul voted to continue funding, but since he has been a consistent critic of Bush's War from the beginning, I'll forgive him for one wrong vote.)

I blame Bush for the illegal, unconstitutional oil war / holy crusade in Iraq....because he's directly responsible

and I blame the diet Republicans / fake Democrats for lying to the American people. We voted them into office to stop the slaughter but as soon as the election results became official they turned their back on the American people and the reasons we elected them.

Unfortunately there are a bunch of people on the right who cannot take responsibility for anything. Their leader set the example and they merely follow.

Democrat Harry Truman had a sign on his desk that read "The buck stops here". Dubya should have a sign "I't all their fault". That seems to be the attitude of the Administration and thier supporters.

No one is to blame for this war but Bush. For once in his life he is going to have to shoulder the blame alone.

He wanted Saddam and he was willing to lie to congress, his own party and the American people to get it. Just wait for the time when Powell can finally tell the truth..

Wait...blame Bush for the war. Wow, I think you're on to something. I've never heard of anything like that before, but it might make sense.

if dems stopped playing the blame game, they would actually have to do what they got elected to do, the problem is, most of the voters actually want to muck up the gov with hearings about hearings, and councils that draft non-binding opinions about this, that and the other. those the dems elected don't really have to do anything other that make the GOP look bad. to their voters, that makes them look good. victory by default!

We need a 3rd, 4th and 5th party to choose from. This monopoly of power the republican and democrats have on america is not democracy! You choose between two evils and wonder why america is going down the crapper?

You can't do anything until we get those Republican warn mongers out of office and the Senate. The people that take up for Bush and his sidekicks are just as stupid as they are, yes I mean all these ignorant Republicans.
