Basketball is about making money, Selling seats, shirts, jersey and hats. Kobe name and number sells more than anybody.
Kobe on a team gives that NBA team that 7pm start time on a doubleheader on ABC. Or the Xmas eve game.

kobe is a good player who is stuck on a loosing side people generally like kobe because he can play good ball but lets not forget his little scene that he had the other day i think that court case put a stain on his rep.people would cheer their heads off for kobe, when he gets the shot but if he misses one shot he is on everyones hit list its something typical among alot of players but with kobe its alittle too harsh.they expect too much from the poor guy,if only he would get drafted to another team with good players then u will see how things will calm down.same thing happened to shaq,when the lakers were loosing kobe and shaq got all the blame but since shaq got drafted he is again a star while kobe is now taking blows for the entire team,hopefully he will change teams soon.

Name the teams where people want Kobe! The polls show only California wants Kobe, but they just barely want to keep him!
Who's making more sense now?! Kobe is unwanted everywhere except by California!

New York wants Kobe too, as if they can get any worse.

who hates Kobe? i never read that or hear about that, and i live in LA, maybe its jealousy you read about after Kobe scores 50 plus againest someones team, if Kobe wants to be traded , that might be another reason for so called hatred, but, he has the right to play on winning teams, lakers owner has to get off his butt and find Kobe a good center and 1 good guard... goodluck

Once again, Kobe haters need lives. One they hear Kobe wants to be traded, they suddenly have a change of heart and want them on thier team.

Because people hate the way his personality is but when it comes to his skills in basketball well i don't really need to explain. His personality and skills are 2 diffrent things and sometimes one matters a little bit more to the teams than the other.

If you'll look back through the answers, you'll find a lot of teams DON"T want him. I know the Spurs don't.
