The team is just out of sync. It's a matter of time before they get back on track.
Willie won't let them continue on this way. A fire will be lit under them soon.

The major problem with the Mets is a lack of consistant starting pitching. This problem may be solved if Pedro comes off the DL and the Mets can make a trade soon. The rumor mill has suggested Mark Buerhle from the White Sox. I would be sad but it is possible that Carlos Zambranoo may be available from the Cubs. That would fix it before they blow it.

There was a stretch last year when the Mets lost 13 of 15 so I think they will bounce back. The problem hasn't been the starting pitching it has been a lack of hitting and the bullpen. Randolph has mismanaged his bullpen at times and continues to put Aaron Heilman and Schowenweis out there in crucial situations. If Burgos is not hurt there is no reason he shouldn't be in the majors ahead of those two bums.

There is nothing wrong with the Mets. Every team goes through a series of ups and downs during the season and the Mets are in one of the down cycles now. Look at the Yankees, everyone believed they could never come back and now they are winning. If the Mets is your team hang in there with them, they will be just fine.

This proves that the Mets are not as good as the team of last year. I like Randolph & i think he's done a good job with the Mets but i don't think the pitching is going to be able to get the job done in the long run.

I am in tears. this was thier big chance to prove that they still have it and instead everything went worng. They were so close on saturday but on sunday it was a mess. Poor Lo Duca got hit and now we have another good hitter on the disabled list. I have lost hope.

They'll be alright, they are just in a rut. Even if they don't win their division they'll still win the wildcard
