this is a 3 year old car, and you propbable paid 1/2 new price for it. You have to expect some problems. You also drove it for a year before the motor needed replacing.

If you sold the car to someone and they came back a year later and complained that the tires were bald, what would you say??

Be glad the motor is being replaced and accept the inconvenience.

The G35 is normally a very good car. If they offered you a new motor, take it. If you don't want to keep the car after it is fixed, you can sell it or trade it, but it's not worth a whole lot with a bad engine. Just be glad Nissan/Infiniti is willing to stand behind their product. My guess is everything will be fine once you get your new engine installed, so I would keep the car and enjoy it.

probably can't return it to the dealership, and if you bought it used, there's probably not a whole lot you can do about it. i mean, it sucks no doubt...i just bought a car used a while back and found a bunch of stuff wrong with it that they never mentioned.
