It depends on the situation presented but lets say for instance If the person really loved Christmas and they were a good person and it was their way of adding their own spark to the holiday season then no they aren't crazy they are just attempting to maintain the spark and wonder and amazement of Christmas that they had when they were a child. (Its amazing what you'd do to feel young inside) However if that same friend had an imaginary friend as well I would probably consider asking some questions like are you really bored and is this your way of amusing yourself... or what does your imaginary friend and you like to talk about to check and see if they were as nutty as nutty comes and in which case maybe avoid them it could be trouble if they like you and their imaginary friend doesn't (lol) Just think of it this way they could be crazy or they could have hit the peak of their life where they are feeling old and just want to add some childhood spark to their life so they are trying on some old child stuff to keep themselves feeling young. You have to make a judgement call but I'd go with really childish and possibly crazy.

I would think it would depend on the capacity of his belief in santa clause. To certain sects of pagan faiths, the man we know as santa clause is an adaptation of the Holly King (kind of winter) and I certainly wouldn't think him crazy for believing in that. But in the commercialized fat man in a red suit like you see in the malls at christmas time, I think I might find that a little hard to swallow.

People believe in all sorts of things. If you looked worldwide you could probably find religions with beliefs many would find stranger than santa or a friend. But the believers do believe. Think about some of the beliefs of christianity, judaism and islam. I might call this friend eccentric but not crazy.
ps I am not calling your friends beliefs a religion.

I think people throw around the word crazy to much these days.Alot of times when someone says or believes in something another person doesn't they call them crazy.I say let someone believe what they want as long as its not hurting them or someone else.

Santa is real but only those who truly believe can see him. Mind your own business and let your friend be who he/she chose to be. How would you feel if a friend of yours goes on the net criticizing your beliefs?
