Liberals are all up in arms about a THEORY that to date has failed to show how much of the temperature increases are caused by man (if man causes them at all).
On the other hand, nobody knows when, or even if, we will be attacked by terrorists again.

Bombastic - thank you for the question. The problem I have with global warming is that it is a completely politicized issue. We have scientists (on both sides) who know exactly who is funding them, and which "results" will keep the grant money flowing. I think the way scientific research is funded is completely broken. I am open to the idea of global warming, and an willing to help fix it, but only AFTER there is significant, non-partisan evidence that it exists, and accurate evidence of the consequences.

To the extremists who have posted, I am open to seeing your data.
You might be surprised to know that there is no definitive answers to how much of the observed warming is attributable to man. Is it 5%? 50%? 100%? Nobody knows for sure.
Millions will die because of global warming? Talk about fear-mongering. As far as I can tell, nobody can predict the future, especially not computer models upon which you are most-likely basing your post....

You theory incorrect. Terrorism isn't something new. that is severe, very severe... in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not the perfect threat to mankind. you're thinking too small. the glaring nicely suited threat to mankind is any disaster, organic or guy-made, which impacts the planet without delay. in this classification could be... - A critically sized meteor hitting the planet. (which will at last happen.) - An all-out thermonuclear conflict (which with a bit of luck we can dodge). - huge climate replace, whether guy-made or no longer. there is crucial information suited now that CO2 is expanding the temperature of the planet in an remarkable way, and those transformations might desire to reason huge fatalities international. they have already brought about a huge variety in case you think approximately important storms like Katrina. See, that worldwide warming is going on isn't up for debate. that's going on. How lots of that's human-appropriate and how lots is organic is up for debate, yet there is not any doubt that a number of that's brought about via guy. in case you think of that Osama is a miles better threat than the climate transforming into inhospitable to mankind, you have neglected the boat someplace. much greater-so in case you classification Obama with Osama... See, liberals in assessment to conservatives can concentration on better than one threat at a time. Classifying worldwide warming as a great threat would not declassify terrorism as a threat to our society. that is particularly common... worldwide warming = threat to the worldwide... Terrorism = threat to our society. worldwide > Society in length. Mankind > our Society besides, in case you count variety every person (and being a conservative, i'm uncertain in case you think approximately all human beings human beings, you will possibly be able to possibly no longer.) Edit: "The earth has replaced temperatures in the process the billions of years that is been around - bear in mind the ICE AGE every person? Who brought about that - we weren't even right here!" Umm...hi! whether guy-made or no longer, climate replace could nevertheless be catastrophic... whether warming or ice age... or do you like residing decrease than a glacier?

Radical terrorism by far, and they're not just a threat to America - world-wide.
I believe global warming is a possibility - I'm willing to keep an open mind on that subject because it's my obligation to try and make my part of the world a better place.
Just curious - would you believe global warming was a more serious topic if the words had come from someone other than Al Gore? I find it pathetic that people disregard the possibility that global warming is, in fact, a threat just because they don't like the person who mentioned it.

No-brainer. Global warming is by far the biggest threat.
Look at terrorism - we got caught with our pants down on 9/11 and 2,752 people died.
http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/Northeast/10/29/wtc.deaths/
Hurrican Katrina alone caused at least 1,836 deaths.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Katrina#Impact
Global warming causes increased sea surface temperatures, which in turn cause stronger hurricanes. It also causes floods, droughts, more fires, floods, and other extreme weather events.
If the Greenland Ice Sheet melts, it will cause a 23 foot sea level rise and make millions of people (yes, even Americans) homeless.
Terrorism pales in comparison to the threat of global warming.

On one hand you have radical terrorism which kills 1000 people a day .
On the other hand you have global warming which is going to kill millions of people .
Radical Islamics make up a small sect of Islam and should be treated as criminals like Enron employee's .
To admit that global warming is caused by pollution then you also asign liability to the polluters . DO we really want the world taking america to court as the worlds greatest source of pollution for our crime to humanity .
This is why so much effort is being put fourth to oppose Global warming and blame it on something else .

Terrorism..radical or otherwise.
Global warming can be debated and argued til the glacier melt (which may very well happen, just I do not believe at the rate that Big Al would like to scare us all into believing), but terrorism is a reality RIGHT NOW!

1. Global warming is taking place
2. Man is responsible for increase in CO2, which will cause global warming.
Question is properly whether man can arrest global warming. The overall result is going to be bad with global warming, far more deaths than what terrorists can inflict.
Of course, such a rational analysis is beyond your feeble thought processes.
