it is your heater core and it is about to blow

Your heater core has a hole in it. Your engine coolant goes thru a hose into the heater core which is typically located behind your glove box. When the hose or core gets a hole, the smell of antifreeze will come into the vents. You can try adding the radiator sealant but make sure that when you add it you have the heat going, the blazer completely warmed up and drive it around for about 10 minutes. if not you could stop up the core with the sealant.

Your heater core (the part of the heating system that the fan blows through to provide heat) has a small leak. It needs replaced. You will also slowly build a film of antifreeze on the inside of the windshield over time.

Yes to all who suggested heater core. They will sometimes develop tiny pin holes and the moisture will evaporate and give off the scent of anti freeze. This will progress. You should replace it as soon as possible. For now, being that it is summertime you can go under your hood and disconnect the two heater hoses. Then connect the two together(loop). This will prevent the smell till you can replace the heater core.
Hope this helps :)

ok right here is what you're able to do run the vehicle at a classic velocity andpersistent around somewhat to make certain if it starts off to overheat returned and if so end and open the hood and consider the hoses beginning with the hose popping out of the water pump (backside hose) to the radiator and the suited hose from the radiator to the thermostat to try this place your hand close to no longer on the place the hoses at each end is clamped to make certain in case you could experience any liquid spraying out that's a pin length hollow in between the hoses, yet be care finished the liquid is going to be particularly warm. the subsequent element you're able to do is close off the motor and watch for the radiator to kick back down and run your hand alongside the seam of the radiator to make certain in case you could experience any liquid. i visit ask you this whilst youpersistent is there a squealing noise once you step on the gasoline and if so it would desire to intend that your water pump is going in spite of this i might desire to be incorrect yet take your vehicle to the storage and have a mechanic examine it out.

That would be your heater core springing an internal link. You can either replace the core or bypass it. If you're not going to need your heater any time soon and you just need the vehicle to operate, you can locate the core, locate the hoses that attach to it, and get a small hose to go between them. This will re-seal your cooling system but your heater won't work until you replace the core.

You do have a leak. It is very very tiny, but it is there. The tiny amount of anti-freeze is evaporating before it can puddle-up and drip anywhere. Or, It may be accumulating on an inside lip of a vent moulding just enough to 'smell up' the vent, but not enough to "drip" anywhere.

Soulds like a pinhole leak or a loose clamp letting off just enough when it's warm to evaporate and make it smell. Check your hose clamps; and when it's running, pop your head under the hood and look for steam once it's warm

This happened on my car. A real sweet anti freeze smell coming out the vent. My head gasket blew and cost me $1200.00 to repair. you don't see it leaking because it burns when it hits the hot engine hence making the smell.

Your heater core has probably developed a small leak. This will cause the odor to come out of your vents, and when it gets colder and you turn on your defroster, instead of clearing up the windshield, it will fog it up worse.
