Is Russia and China biding their time untill the Liberal media and Democrats weaken our Country even more?

With as much to lose as the U.S.A. why are China and Russia not helping 100% in the war on Terrorism.Are they waiting for the U.S. to become a paper lion under a possible Democrat Whitehouse?How much does the Liberal media help these two Countries weaken Our Country?

China and Russia, nor the democrats or liberal media is a threat to us, we are a threat to ourselves.

We spend an inordinate amount of time arguing about silly insignificant things that do not affect the vast majority of us, like flag burning, prayer in school, abortion, and illegal immigration while we fetter away our children's future.

We have some big issues on the horizon that we must deal with. Like our manufacturing base rapidly disappearing because of the result of our high cost of living, wages and benefits. How long can we subsist on a service type economy? What will happen when we can no longer compete globally and Joe Six Pak with his $300,000 mortgage, a $37,000 SUV and 6 credit cards maxed out and is forced to default because his wages were cut so the company he works for can compete.

Our politicians know this, and the American public is ignoring it.

I find it interesting that someone like yourself would pose such a q without first having done a little research and like ANY good argumentative paper, posed and answered all likely attacks that are sure to come in response to your "theory" because you are not asking a Q. You are asking why is nobody else as outraged about this "threat" as you are.
Allow me to fill in some gaps in your "question"...
Russia and China border and barter with said terrorists. Why you ask? well because not only is it convenient but shock of all shocks it is tradition since again, they are neighbors.
Russia has been dealing with terrorist threats way before it was "cool". They have a huge internal problem and prior to 9/11 the only thing they heard from the US was how it was horrible to kill these people and that they should be allowed to govern themselves AND allowed to secede. Russia always responded with..."mind your own business"
You would think that having Russian and Chinas support would be something that the US would covet, since not only do they have experience dealing with these people (terrorists) but they also understand the culture FAR better then anyone from the west ever could. Instead what does the US do?? try to create riots and more drame in the "iron wall" by supporting and praising the Orange revolution. So after all that drama, what happened? nothing because Ukraine always has and always will need to be on good terms with Russia and at the end of the day the US is a world away and again doesnt "get" the culture and that they will always fight and kiss and make up.
China has people "boycotting" China made products bc they are BAD and a threat to the US economy. ok, if you say so. China IS however practicing green. Every new building erected is green. Plastic is recycled and they buy all excess garbage and sort it and look for recycables.
But the one thing Russia and China know that the US does not is that you have to play nice and talk to everyone and find a happy place in the middle. BC we ARE in 2007 and we can't walk around telling people what weapons or technologies they CAN or CANNOT develop. what we CAN do is appeal to their humanitarian nature and offer to get rid of our OWN stockpiles if they would be willing to refrain from creating yet more weapons.
This isn't a DEM/REPUBLICAN fight. This is about having a person with good advisors, the right temperament and experience to deal with people from around the world.

Giuliani- NYC mayor who cleaned up a city and got 5 boroughs to stop fighting and actually be productive. NYC has every nation represented and he has dealt with every possible union/board/synagogue/mosque/cardinal from every heritage and culture. AND he has a good sense of humor!
Richardson- UN embassador, peace keeper, multi-cultural, peace prize nominee, also improved his states economy, familiar with current world leaders AND has a degree in international relations

Yes and no. China is a large business partner, so if we weakened severely, then they could be hurt as well. Russia is not very strong since the USSR collapsed in the early 1990's. North Korea and Syria are probably waiting for an opportunity to hurt us. Most countries or empires that collapsed fall from within. The USSR collapsed from within from economic failure during the Cold War. When Germany was controlled by the Nazis, it was brought down by outside forces (the Allies) and internally once they were losing World War II. With America, what is hurting us is our desperate need for security. Yes, 9-11 was a tragedy and a wake-up call. While we need to have better security on airplanes, trains, etc., we do not need to trade in our civil liberties for security. Phone taps and surveillance by the government on millions of innocent people are unneccesary. If we give up the very freedoms we hold dear, we will become weak and our foes can take advantage of us. So we can be responsible for our own downfall.

No, I don't think anything like that is on the agenda. Russian and China are both currently engaged in re-building thier economies - really, thier societies - after the Cold War. China's doing particularly well. They're probably more concerned with building up thier own 'strength' than waiting for ours to ebb further.

I believe that if a Democrat is in the Whitehouse, America will be facing some really serious problems. The current administration has put effort into securing our borders and I'm not sure if that effort will continue under a Democrat. Starting next year anyone entering or leaving the country going to Mexico or Canada will need a passport.

The media and the left is their trojan horse. They stir up so much anti-americanism and colleges train students to blame america first. So many people think that we are the root of all evil, and countries like china and russia are concerned about all their citizens. If a dem takes the white house in '08, our defense budget will be trashed and we will be sending an invitation across the globe to come on over. Understanding, compromising, catering and paying will not keep us safe. We need to have the strongest, most advanced military, and commit to it for as long as we are a country. That will act as a deterrent and a means for security. Walk soft and carry a big *** stick.

No. They have other interests than supporting the U.S. war on terrorism. Although Bush thinks that every nation has the same interests, some don't. China and Russia both need a strong U.S. for both international security and domestic complaining.

Yeah, that is what is happening. They are waiting for the dems to get elected and our country to be weakened and then invade and enslave us all. They will force us to live in communes and deny our religious faith. If you actually are believing any of this, then you my friend are not very bright.
