Sometimes they are...some look down upon anyone who actually "works" for a living...others have no issue with anyone no matter what type of job they have...
We can't all be CEOs of big companies and make millions...it takes the "little guys" to keep the world going!

If it weren't for those low paid individuals, we would be eating off of dirty dishes when we went out to eat. Many of these people do a very important job when it comes to 'one life touches another.'
Fast food restaurants hire these people to take our orders when we take kids out to eat there as a treat. Department stores hire these people at minimum wage to help us find things we need and to answer questions about things we aren't familiar with.
Look down at them? Not me. To these people, a minimum wage job feeds their children and pays their rent. To these people, a minimum wage job is better than no job.

yes and in the uk too but to be honest there the ones that usually work the hardest and get payed less its not fair at all ! this is a good and interesting question thanks star for you :0)
