I am in search of an infant (we just had a baby) prison outfit...the old fashioned black and white stripe one. I typed in prisoner costumes for infants and found nothing...just outfits for toddlers and adults. I would LOVE to find one for a baby between the ages of 3-9 months. My husband is a prison guard and we thought this would make such a cute photo. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!! If you find a website that sells them, please post it. Thanks again!

lillian vernon has a great selection of costumes for babies, as does sensational beginnings - you'll want to keep the baby an infant forever because there's no way baby could wear all of those adorable costumes!!! buycostumes.com also offers great selection, as does annies costumes. I think that's an adorable idea & ya'll are going to have so much fun!!! Good for you & congratulations!

I don't know if you can order it online...BUT they sell little baby prison outfits at the shops in the Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, CA. They are an Alcatraz Island souvenir :) I'll keep looking and if I can find it online I will update my answer :)

No one should be amused to see a baby dressed as a prisoner, even without the handcuffs. I'm surprised your husband, a prison guard, would even consider having his baby dressed as an inmate.

There is nothing funny or cute about American prisons or anything connected to them. They are horribly unsafe places for inmates and guards alike.

When inmates are left to rot in prison, they will be more rotten when they are released, and as your husband can tell you, most will be released. Your husband may be aware that the United States incarcerates a larger percent of its people than any other democracy in the world.

Some politicians want to be seen as being tough on crime rather than tackling the hard job of providing proper treatment for the mentally ill, and reasonable sentencing. and parole reforms that would make us all safer and save us lots of money.

There are many cute, unusual costumes that would not cause others to cringe.

Maybe try looking up Alcatraz? We got my grand-daughter a cute old-fashioned striped onesie somewhere on Fisherman's Wharf or Pier 39, one of them. There's a ton of prison costumes for babies.

(Her father is a prison guard too. He got a kick out of it.)

Being in prison is no joke.
