If you think that guns really kill people then you would have to agree that pencils do fail tests and misspell words...

While I believe that pencils do in fact fail tests and misspell words, they are not necessarily evil. They have been imbued with the unique ability to sense error and erase their sins. However, this ability is limited to a finite number of errors.
It should be pointed out that some pencils are truely evil when they cause one to run, trip, fall, and pull out one's eye. This type of pencil has the "running with scissors" gene and should be avoided at all costs.

Apt analogy, but I do know some people that have no business being anywhere near pencils and tests either. For their own safety and that of the general public.

So that's why I had so much trouble with math in school, it was the pencil all the time. Whew! I just thought it was because I didn't like or understand math. What a relief.

If you think about it. It isn't the gun that kills people but the person who holds the gun. They are a joint force in some ways. Without the person to pull the trigger the gun couldn't kill them.

People with guns are more powerful than people without guns.
However, you draw a racist picture in the US and put it on the front page of a national newspaper and you see how dangerous your pencil was. YOu´d get people killed.
People with guns kill more people in the USA than without guns.
In 2004 there were 16,148 murders in the USA. 8,299 were committed with hand guns, 2,355 with other guns, 10,500 from 16,000 is quite a lot, don´t you think?

in my view, the pencil is a miles greater deadly weapon than a gun if used properly. that's suitable whether you opt for to apply the pen as a shuriken or write a e book which will rile the folk up.
