I sang them children's lullabys and other songs I know and like. My second son, who I started talking and singing to as soon as I knew he was in the womb. As a result he could speak in complete sentences at 16 months. People would ask if he was a drawf, because they couldn't believe he could speak so well. No he is regular size. His younger brother could sing 32 songs before he was 2 and they could recite the Lord's prayer before their 2nd birthdays. So keep talking to your child, not using baby talk, but speak to them as if they can understand and tell them about everything. Point out everything and tell them what it all is and what is used for, what color just any info you can think of. They will absorb it and you will be amazed.
