Does anyone know what the meaning is of finding a gnome on your doorstep? A friend of mine found one gnome one morning, and two the next - what is he supposed to do with them?

He could set out some milk and cookies. They could be hungry and just looking for a handout. Be sure it's not sugar cookies, though, because those draw gargoyles.

A friend suggested you set out either a drop-dead gorgeous fairy statue or a small sign saying: Deliveries Next Door.

Sounds like the gnomes ran away from there prevous owner and are looking for a nice person's place to say. But as a reality check your friend might want to tell the police about it. I have a gnome living here and I'm very nice to him. He loves living in the garden.

I once had snow white and the seven dwarfs turn up on the morning of the day I was going on holiday. I reported their arrival to the police and locked themup until after I came back, when they went home.

Hope your gnomes get to gnome-home safely, before the gnome lib people get them.

Someone is gnome-napping. Take them to your police station. Or you could let your local paper know and they will probably do a story.

Poor lost gnomes. :(
