sooooo.... if my grass is dead (and it is btw due to drought), and i see that my neighbor has a high-tech irrigation system which makes his yard as green as ever... and i choose to wack him up side the head with a rake.... then it's due to man-made global warming, according to the Robot Gore. lol, utterly ridiculous. and that's another thing... the term "man-made global warming" has been increasingly popular amongst the national media types... lol, used to be just global warming... now, its "man-made"... make up ya minds people.

man has been killing each other over things as food and water for EVER. we gonna go re-write history books and look to see if there were any conflicts that involved either and say it was due to "man-made global warming" instead of just man being man? people need to stop diverting responsibility from the individual(s) to things that can't be prevented.

Not a chance! The violence in Darfur is due to religious intolerance of the Muslim sect there. Almost like the libs intolerance of Christianity here in the U.S.. Nothing to due with global warming. Libs like to try and link events like these to streghten an already weak platform of propaganda.

Darfur is supplied with U.N. food suplies and this alleged drought could be just irregular weather patterns or more propaganda. If the U.N. and Big Al are for it, I'm most likey against it, just on principle.

There very well could be. If GW is part of the drought people will do whatever it is necessary to feed their families and have water. The issue in Somalia in the early 90s was that the warlords could horde the food from the masses. Any food sent over by humanitarian efforts was taken by the warlords. They had control. People will do or follow if they are starving.

I am sorry droughts do not cause people to kill others. There might be a shortage of food, but there are more civilized ways to deal with these problems without resorting to violence.

Its possible global warming is causing this, but I have to say some people are diluting the importance of the issue by blaming everything on it.

Much of the fighting in Darfur is over water and food. Both are in short supply because of a drought. They believe that the science shows the drought is partially because of Global Warming. This really isn't that hard to follow is it?

No. There was violence going on there before anyone started worrying seriously about global warming...and there will be violence going on there after whatever happens due to global warming happens (even if nothing happens).

OMG! They have really ignored Occam's razor this time! The fighting is over encroachment of the African's land by 'Arab' horsemen (the Janjaweed). Drought or no drought, it is that encroahment on the land that sparked the violence. When somebody uses violence to take what is yours you usually respond, even if there is no drought.

There is a massive drought in that entire region of Africa. It could very well be because of global warming. I don't know for sure and neither do you.

Because of the sub-Saharan diet they produce large amounts of natural methane. IT's just the way of the world, sorry!
