Why do Apple Bottoms cost so much? I was on the website and those jeans were so expensive. To get a pair of them they cost like $80 dollars. I remember Nelly had said he created Apple Bottoms as an inexpensive line for lower class black women who were very curvy sounds like he's contradicting himself. I remember J.lo said the same thing about her clothes but her jeans cost $70 a piece. Why doesn't anyone make clothes for women that are nice and inexpresive?

American Eagles jeans don't fit my body right. I'm a size 8 but if i go to American Eagle I try on all the jeans and nothing seems to fit me.

In NYC, there's a few places that Apple Bottoms are cheaper. Maybe between 30 to 45 dollars for a pair of jeans. You're just not looking in the right place. If you like shopping online, try going on www.drjays.com They alot cheaper, and they ALL name brand clothing.

Believe me, I feel for you. I've helped black women with their clothes shopping before and it's not fair the way they are treated.
The trouble is an overzealous market and misrepresentation to the poor. People will buy an iceberg T shirt or a Polo jacket because they see a rapper wearing one in a video, however, when was the last time you saw someone in a video wearing a Ralph Lauren original? They don't, because Lauren simply ups the price of his "junk" clothes and tosses it to the artists as if he was throwing a dog a bone. Please.
Nautica is a reference to regattas. You think the WASPs are ever going to invite the under classes to a regatta? To a polo match? Please. It's just their way of sneering at the poor and squeezing more money out of them.
But then companies like FUBU or AppleBottoms come along and try to put a philosophy into play. The trouble is they can't compete with a philosophy. If they want to go national they have to follow the same practices as the rich twerps. That means before long they are all charging the same prices for the same manufactured-in-sweat-shops crap.

They do...your just looking at the wrong places...go to stores like American Eagle or Aeropostale, good quality clothing, good prices. Musicians and actors tend to make expensive clothing since they are popular, and want to make more money...think...if J.Lo's jeans were 20 dollars a pair, everyone would get them, and there wouldn't be anything
'special' about them anymore.

The sad thing is many pop culture artists - particularly in hip-hop - forget who their real audience really is. And the clothing lines/artists figure that women will pay for the style, no matter what, and that doesn't have to be the case.....................
Though somewhat off the subject, but that is why I have a lot of respect for Marbury - and his Starbury line at Steve & Berry's - though LeBron took cheap shots at that clothing/shoe line.
It can be done, but an artist has to have the guts to take on a whole industry & say this is what I want for My fans.

Just because of the name. They say inexpensive as compared to seven jeans or true religion, which are so popular. Try a department store. They usually have a variety of brands, but you can catch great sales!

Go to Marshall's. They sell name brand stuff for lower the price. I bought me a pair of Apple Bottoms from there and it was just $26.

They call that...real fashion?
all they did is put there label on some clothes and raise the price.
I hate celebrities coming up with all these clothes.
try getting some very popular brand.
the cost about the same if you look in the right place.
my favorite is the outlet malls.

I personally don't think $80 is a lot for a pair of good jeans but if your on a budget and want name brands try T.J. MAXX or Burlington you can also shop sales on line and also try eBay

What are "apple backside" denims??? i'm constructive in the event that they have been meant for females with huge butts then in simple terms females with huge butts could positioned on them. that is like a fat chick with cellulite donning short shorts, it in simple terms shouldn't happen.

Because they are being promoted by a celebrity whose name is on it and only silly celebrity slaves buy their products. Why would you want Apple Bottoms, when there are other far less expensive products out there to buy?
Oh yes, you want to be in fashion because celebrity names are on them. Right.
