Some people I know would be drowning in clothes by now if they kept them all, but I don't know what they do with them.

Yes, i buy a wholllllle lot of clothes.
Give them to a local church program or a thrift shop.
I know a church near my house has a reachout program for people that dont have alot of money.

I live in Pennsylvania and I have a hubby and 3 kids. My 2 daughters and I do have alot of clothes and it seems like I am always buying (thank you Ebay) and with as quickly as my 4 yr old son grows he goes through alot of clothes also. There are several Salvation Army stores in the area but they are limited to their drop off hrs as their volunteers are limited also. However, there is a DROP OFF BOX which is VERY large and holds tons of clothes that is in the parking lot of the local dairy queen provided by Salvation Army that at any time of the day you can put clothes into it. I probably make 2 trips a month there...........I do toss some things away that have excessive stains from my son's playclothes but my daughters and I don't wear cheap stuff so If I would still wear it, I drop it off and hopefully someone else can get use out of it too. (call your local Salvation Army and see if you have one in your area)

ps i just saw that answer above and didn't know shelter's accepted clothing, thank you!

Well, i buy clothes that i would need, i wouldn't totally drown myself in clothes. Every month or two i go through my whole closet to look for clothes i don't like or don't fit or don't need. I have a garage sale with my family to earn cash of what we had i our house that we didn't need, and then whatever we didn't sell we'd give to the big brothers big sisters foundation or different charities. Those kinds of people aren't drowning themselves in cllothes, some only have the clothes on their back. So this is a help for you and the world, you by having less clothes to worry about and the world by giving people something they need. Hope that helped!

The best thing to do with old clothes is to recycle them. One man's trash is always another man's treasure. If they are in good condition, take them to the salvation army or a thrift store. That way you are donating them for a greater cause and it is possible to itemize those items in your taxes at the end of the year. If they are in great condition, take them to a consignment shop. There you will get a portion of the profit once the product sells. That's more money for you and a great item for someone else.

I buy TONS of clothes, but I'm an only child. I do have 2 younger girl cousins, and normally they get my clothes (arent they so lucky! ahaha lol). But see they r really tiny, so normally they dont start wearing them for a year or two. . . . . after they get clothes. But I know people who give their clothes to the salvation army. But i give my clothes to my cousins because i normally dont own a given peace of clothing for more than a year, lol.

I donate my old clothes to the local Salvation Army. You could also sell them in a yard sale or give it to someone you know who would fit

I donate some of them to charities. Some that are too worn out to be given away, I use as rags around the house, or if I like the patterns, I cut them up and patch them up together for funky wall hangings.

I buy lots of clothes, but mostly its just pieces that I can wear with other stuff, like jeans and cardigans and cropped jackets and stuff. I either wear my old clothes in the house/as pyjamas, give them to friends if they are in good condition, wear them again under jumpers or jackets or with accessories, or I give them to charity/bin them.

when you look through the closet of clothes you aren't wearing that season, you might say to urself.. oh i will wear them sooner or later. but if it goes a little too long and you certaintly aren't wearing them, don't kid yourself and say you will. they will probobly be out of fashion and /or not fit you anymore. take those clothes and give it to people who really will definitely wear them. go to your local supermarket - they will probably have a bin in the parking lot for these items.. not only are you helping someone else but you are helping yourself!! clean closet space = more clothing!
