I've been married now for 7 years, been together for 11years, this past anniversary, my wife had told me that her feelings for me have changed, and undecided if she wants to seperate or not.
My feelings have not changed for her, but I've been having problems with hiding my smoking habit with her, because she doesn't like me smoking. I've tried to quit more times than I can remember. We have two wonderful children, one so to be adopted child, and a lot of debt to go with it.
I don't want her to leave me because I think we might be able to work it out with marriage counselling, she doesn't think it'll work (because of my untrustworthyness of me smoking).
Basically my question is... What are some ways I can persuade her to stay with me.

I think you guys just need to talk it out. So what if you still want to smoke. This is no reason to break up with you. Your wife should accept that you smoke and you want to. Don't quit if you really don't want to. Don't lie about it anymore tell her she should be able to accept it. I think there is another reason she may want to leave you. You guys may need some counselling. Smoking is not the reason. In a lifelong marriage you will have good years and bad years. This year for you is probably a bad one. Just think of it like that. It sounds like you are very dedicated to her but she may have different feelings. There has to be more to this than just your smoking habit. Confront her openly and see if there are any other issues. Hopefully you still have time to solve the problem.
