You haven't said where you and your children will be living, but you might want their names to work for them equally well if they live in Europe or America or if they live in the Middle East. Accordingly, I picked girls names that would be familiar in both cultures:
------Amber (precious)
------Anissa (friendly)
------Leila (dark as the night)
------Sahara (the moon)
and finally, Fatima, perhaps the Arabic female name most familiar in the West.
Giving boys a name appropriate for both cultures was a little more difficult. In addition to names like Josef, Da'ud (translated David), Hana (translated John),* consider given names that correspond to or are just one letter off from fairly common Arabic surnames. For example, many Americans know Arabic families with the last name of Fadal, which is just one letter off the given name Fadil (meaning generous).
I also like Alim (meaning wise) and Yarden (meaning king) because they are short, sound friendly, and are easy to pronounce.
------
*Your sons, of course, may want to Americanize them along about middle school, becoming Joseph, or Joe, David, or Dave, and John.
