Do we want another actor pretending to be the President?

Fred Thompson is a member of Congress. Do you remember how he voted? On ANYTHING? Do you remember the Thompson act? (Oh yeah, he hasn't proposed a single piece of legislation yet.)
Fred Thompson works well when handed a script. He needs speech writers however to tell him how to vote.
Fred Thompson offends most Republicans.
Joe Leiberman offended most Democrat in the country as a losing VP candidate who took away needed votes instead of adding any. He only held onto votes already secure.
So here you would have a team that few Republicans and few Democrats would vote for. Does that sound like a winning ticket?

Not to me.

This nation is 36% Republican; 37% Democratic; and 26% Independent. You can't win without either the Democratic or Republican vote.

I don´t comprehend plenty approximately him. He does look smarter than Bush, even with the undeniable fact that then somebody might. He has a voting checklist, and that i´m sure so as that they are in a position to come out in time. Then we are in a position to comprehend greater approximately him. easily I have been a Republican for some years, even with the undeniable fact that considering the non secular actual has taken over the social gathering I´ve become greater of a Democrat. the hot Republicans seem to be greater previous testomony regulation. on an identical time as Democrats seem to conform with greater the classes of Jesus.

excellent thinking on your part..

somebody from the left was ranting about Joe's
Zionist pre-occupation..I think it probably works both ways
that a slice of the Republican Pie would too have issues with a Jew being a heartbeat from the Presidency..
(I premise I sadly proffer..but don't submit myself as a part of)

I think avoidance of the issues..would be a mistake and Leiberman is a true liberal in most every sense of his
beliefs..stick to taxation and protection/security factors and
let the dice roll..

a closer pitch..might be Tommy Thompson on the ballot with Fred.

nope. They are decent people, but the comparisons to President Reagan are WAY off. Plus, our society is way too influenced by showmanship, and as good of guys as they might be for the job, they just don't have the "charisma" to get the votes.

As a republican, I think our best bet is Rudy Guiliani. His personal life leaves much to be desired for values, but he is better than the Clintons ever were. He is a great man, an exceptional leader, and has the broadest base of supporters. Team him up with one of the very conservatives for a VP, and THAT would be a knockout ticket.

I think that so many people are tired of the cross party bickering that Lieberman should try to run as an Independent. If there was ever a time for an Independent to win the White House it is now.

For the GOP, maybe. For the future of Democracy in the free world, definitely. The pendulum must swing back, next election, from the abuses of the 26%'s president. They must, if America is to survive.

Let's see.

Thompson is a professional lier and a Washington insider whom conservatives loath.

Leiberman is a professional politician who cannot be trusted to stand behind anything meaningful and abandons his morals for his corporate masters.

Sounds more like a rock solid bet to lose.

Those are my top two choices. I would probably be torn between the two. Thompson says we should launch an all out air assault on Iran which would be nice, considering they are killing our soldiers and our govt. is allowing it.
