you think mom is wrong for bringing up her son and daughter as nudists?

ps: She left it up to us, she did not force it on us.

To those that asked, I am the 17 year old son that lives alone with my mom. My 20 year old sister is off to college and my mom and dad are divorced. Mom has a boyfriend. No, we do not have sex in the pool, we just swim nude there. Nudity and sex is two different things.

We always kept it in the family or our extended family(other nudists) because most people do not understand. '

One thing I know is that I will have a hard time finding a girlfriend that will accept this. To me, it's normal, to others, it's not.

No she is not wrong don't let the jerks on Y!A make u think that. Your mom is just more open about not being ashamed of yourself and much more centered person for her nudist ways. Kudos to her and you are a very lucky child, most moms are so prudish their kids grow up to be @$$holes and most are ashamed of themselves. Be proud of your mother for having the courage to be herself and not care what anyone thinks. Trust me as you get older you will find that more helpful to you then almost anything else, it will teach you also to be YOURSELF!
GL!

No . Nude doesn't equal sex unless you have a really narrow mind. Nude is the state we are in when our clothes are off. Nudity can meet a lot of needs besides sex. Comfort, cooling off, bathing or relaxing to name a very few..

People are still weird and tied about about nudity... most don't even really know why it freaks them out so much. All you CAN do is laugh :)

Of course I appreciate growing up how confusing some things might have been.. when some people said one thing and your family and like minded people said another. But in my opinion, no, nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

How old are you?

Actually your mother's mindset is very good and open, your mother may just think that it is okay to have to have people to be curious of the each other's body.

I'll quote out some things from the book, Totto-chan:
1. "Because he thought it wasn't right for boys and girls to be morbidly curious about the differences in their bodies, and he thought it was unnatural for people to take such pains to hide their bodies from each other."
2. "He wanted to teach the children that all bodies are beautiful."

Do you get it already? All bodies are beautiful, so why hide it when you are with yourselves swimming? No one is asking you to walk around the streets nude. As long as you are within yourselves and no sexual activities are done, what's wrong with it? Don't tell me you bathe with your clothing on! Unless it's a public swimming pool, why worry about being exposed to outsiders? You are within yourselves.

So don't worry. Just enjoy being the waters!

It is not the question of a mom bringing the child male/female up, but the atmosphere which give chance to do those acts and deeds for human beings.
It depends upon the human race to develop an atmosphere of good or bad.
There is a saying : what you seep, the same you reap.

If you grew up with a mother walking around the house in the nude, she did force it on you, she subjected you to her beliefs. I'm sure she never asked you if it was okay if she did it, she just did it. When you are old enough to be asked what you prefer is one thing but don't think there wasn't pressure. With that being said, to each their own, you aren't hurting anyone else so who cares what you do in your own home.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this. I think it's great that your mom is open minded enough to do this. We're raising our kids to be comfortable with themselves in appropriate situations, like the pool, at home, at a legal nude beach or resort.

I am so glad she is not imposing her belief systems on you. That turned out horribly for the generations before who are all messed up. Look at the state the world is in!

there's nothing wrong with it.

if you don't want to, yet she's forcing you, then there's a big problem.

i respect you for your lifestyle by the way, i just found out they've got a naturalist lodge here in Jersey and i'm gonna check it out this summer.

To each his own I guess. I could never do it. Swinger maybe, but not a nudist.
