Find the root cause of your depression, whatever seems to be triggering it.

Been there, done that. You are suffering from depression, but without seeing a professional it would be hard for me to determine whether it is chronic or not. Hormones can strongly affect how you feel, especially if female. You do not say how old you are and what is going on in your life. I have had depression my whole life, for as long as I can remember. Doctors put me on all kinds of meds but finally determined it was a lack of serotonin in my system and therefore treatable with the right meds, namely serotonin uptakes like Paxil. My moods used to go up and down all the time and I felt out of control and with a hopeless feeling I could not shake. Now I don't. Does this sound like you? If so, please seek help. The right therapist can do wonders for you. But at least go to your regular doctor and share. There is no reason for you to suffer in silence. You are not alone... there are many of us. Take care.

find a doctor or someone to talk too. suicide is never the answer. As for feeling happy and then sad again, that is normal, but you might need some medication to come to a balance. If you ever need to talk you can e-mail me at emeralds449@yahoo.com.

You should talk to a therapist or counselor, they can give you ideas of what to do if you get suicidal or depressed feelings, and they may even be able to give you mood stabalizing medication, so your not bouncing from normal to depressed all the time.

Please see a doctor and get on some medication. There are new ones out there that are making HUGE differences in people's lives. Even if you've tried that before, give it another chance. Living the way you are is horrible. Reach out for help and don't stop until you get some. Good luck!!

It may sound a bit cheesy but when I was feeling depressed I kept repeating this affirmation in my head : 'I now go beyond other people's fears and limitations. I create my life'. It's worth a shot, it worked for me.

My fiance committed suicide five years ago so I can't ignore this as if you are just screwin' with us. If it's that bad then you need someone to talk to. You def. need some meds. My e-mail is open.

When I feel depressed I try to have fun or listen to uplifting music or write uplifting things and hang out with people that can make me laugh easily......if I don't do this I might end up crying...............remember you are never alone even though your world is falling you are not alone there are other people calling you'll scream it in your so-called home you are not alone there are other people reaching for something to grasp when there's nothing there except thin air.............................................................................................................I'd recommend listening to "Famous Last Words" by My Chemical Romance.....very hopeful song....
