If universities like UGA are party schools, then why are they so hard to get into???

The average kid at UGA got 1240 on the 2 part SAT and a GPA of 3.8. So, if they want to party, they can party!

UGA is one of the top 20 public universities in the USA according to some rankings. You might party while you are there, but if you don't do your work to a high standard then you will be partying somewhere else after a year or so.

Apply to UGA - if you are good enough to get in then you are good enough to party AND study.

The administration/faculty hold the students to high standards. It's the students who give the school the reputation of being a "party school".
