Am I a bad person?

Because I just cannot find it in myself to feel sorry for people who breed like bunnies having kids they cannot support,living off welfare,mooching off society,raising their kids to perpetuate the cycle?? Why do I have no sympathy anymore??

to k shy, I and anyone else that pays taxes IS directly affected by people on welfare, and you know as well as I do that the majority of people recieving welfare are not disabled or laid off of work, they are people who make a mistake and have a kid they cannot afford and then keep REPEATING the same mistake over and over again.

I understand completely.... Its a huge cycle. And don't it always seem its the people who cant take care of their children who keep having kids. There are people out there who want a child do badly and its always the ones who don't need any more who have more. I 100% understand.

You are not a bad person, you are just speaking what others are thinking. Beleive me, nobody here wants to pay for someone else's mistakes or irresponsibility.

God knows that we are over-populated already, so why do we need to keep filling the "adoption pool" with more unwanted kids?

You are just responsible for your own actions, only less responsible people would call you mean. Do you really care what these irresponsible groups think while they are smoking and drinking in front of thier children?

Is is any wonder why people go overseas to adopt children?

Yes. You are bad for feeling that way against a person whom has not personally or directly offended you in anyway. So you should still feel some kind of compassion toward your fellow human.
Morally - who is worse:
The non-married non-working woman who has sex a lot but uses birth control?
The non-married non-working woman who has sex a lot but exercises her "choice"
The non-married non-working woman who has sex a lot that gives her kids to adoption
The non-married non-working woman who has sex a lot and keeps her children's
The men who have sex with the non-working non-married woman
The government who give support to the non-married non-working woman with children

There is a story behind every situation and we should not be so quick to judge. I dont even see the basis for why you say you dont have compassion for women with kids on welfare. If there was no welfare system, then would u then ave compassion?? If a lady was on welfare but had no kids, would u then have compassion? What if the woman was on support because she was some how disabled, but had kids - would u then have compassion? what if she already had a lot of kids, but lost her job and then had to get on welfare - would u have compassion then?

Yeah, your a bad person for stating a comment like that with no real basis for your decision. there are people who do far worse - but u focus on this?!?

Many factors are there for their behavior. Mostly ignorance. I have found not many people like to think any more or be responsible for their decisions.
They mostly follow trends and advertising and listen to hip hop which only reflects the singers/writers views.
Girls have lost their self respect and wonder why guys don't respect them. duh!!!
NO YOU ARE NOT A BAD PERSON. You are numb that is all. most of us are. (then again when you have nothing and sex makes you feel good.) ehhh! you are not responsible for the decisions of others. so don't go there.
Do what is right for you . Never harm another and never lie to yourself. Only do what you would not mind seeing on the front pages of the news paper and have your future children know about. Honor yourself and treat yourself how you would be treated. You should be fine and happy. As for the breeders.....
No education, no self respect, no desire to be better and take the steps to achieve it. It is sad that is all.

No you are not a bad person, some people need to learn the true value of having a family, and not look to the government for a pay check. I feel that they need to get up off their butts and get motivated with doing something useful, They would feel better about themselves if they did.

FRIEND,

PLEASE KINDLY READ .BEAR WITH ME A MINUTE.

We the civilised people, with so many modern gadgets like TVs ,Mobile Phones,Movies,DVD Players etc etc. what we are doing.

we switch on the TV .and sit ready for taking lunch or dinner or snacks.there will be violent scenes,rape scenes, scenes depicting poverty,murder etc etc.

We will be seeing them,laughing cracking jokes and biting food.After we finish food we sit some time more and enjoy the violence{???}.and leave.

What happened because of this exposure to such scenes?

Our natural human reflexes like sympathy,compassion etc are eroded.we just see casually.even in reality, while travelling on road some thing similar happens, you reach camera first,take a picture.Your natural reflex to help or reduce tension or sympathise have simply vanished.

This is the result of CIVILISATION and SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT.we are not using for good.The sword can be used for good or bad.If you are habituated to using only for bad , it is not swords fault.

So it is the order of the day.Please kindly develop the natural reflexes that are hidden in you.

No you're a good person. You support the welfare system with your tax dollars. If you were truly bad you'd evade your tax responsibilities and let these people starve.

Well, it's easy to judge someone when you haven't been in their place. It's also easy to assume that because someone has a lot of children that they are on welfare, because it isn't always true. My husband and I have 4, and we are proud of them and love them, and have never spent one day on welfare. He works two jobs so I can stay at home. So don't assume that everyone with children is a mooch.

In the book "Who's afraid of the Religious Right" the author named them the "Leisure Class". They provide nothing to the world except a need for more and more cops.
