Catch 22 by Joseph Heller is a comedy about a bomber squadron in WWI. Kinda confusing at first, but a really fun read.
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is always fun as well.
Tom Clancy and Michael Chirchton are also good choices.

"Children of the Flames" through Joe E. White possibly of exact curiosity to you, being Polish and having loved ones killed within the Holocaust. It's approximately "Dr." Joseph Mengele and the unimaginably terrible experiments he did on youngsters in Auschwitz. I've no longer learn it as I've handiest not too long ago learned approximately the ebook, nevertheless it sounds very exciting! I recognise what you imply, I'm very interested within the Holocaust too, it is simply intriguing, no longer in a well manner of direction even though! My household line is just about one hundred% German and I think a exact connection to German historical past (despite the fact that my ancestors got here right here to America a long time earlier than the holocaust!). I are not able to think men and women being so inhumane and heartless. I handiest worry that long term parties of the twenty first century, probably the 2040's, will make the holocaust appear like a stroll within the park in comparison to what is going to occur sooner or later! I would not be amazed if a few of the ones matters occurred correct right here in America too! I'm afraid compassion and human rights are passing fads on this international, such a lot obviously right here in America besides!

Lord of the rings... but I wouldnt go to a library for that.
I have got an MP4 player that plays back e-books (text- not audio books!) and I can have about 1500 books stored on it - without having to carry them around or having to bring them back to the library...

I heartily reccommend "The Book of Lost Things" by John Connely! Wow, this is such a fun read. It's somewhat fantasy, with some twisted fairy tales and mythical creatures, but the author pulls in WWII, families/remarriage, and growing up/being different as additional themes. I could barely put it down.

Dragon's Gate is pretty awesome. Read the Giver or Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry if you haven't already. Tangerine by Edward Bloor is what we have to read for school. Oh and read Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikalson. It's really good.
