Hia, I'd like to become P rated to comply with amendment P of the UK building regulations so that I can legally do electrical work on my own home, but I don't know how to go about it, does anyone have any advise or experience on this that they could share with me?

a) What do you need to know to be eligible for part P qualification?

b) Can you achieve the standard by home study?

c) Are they any fees to pay?

d) If there are fees to pay, are these renewable, and if so when, i.e annually, on re-certification, etc ?

Thanks.
