I've been to Kings Dominion twice, once when I was like 4 and once last week, and I enjoyed all of the rides that I went on.

I've been to Busch Gardens once when I was probably 3 years old. I (obviously) don't remember any of the rides that I went on and whether or not I enjoyed them.

My family and I are planning a trip to one of these parks, and I'm not sure which one we should go to. I trust Kings Dominion, but idk if I wanna go to Busch Gardens and try something new...

Opinions, please?

Thank you!

Busch Gardens is more family friendly and a whole lot cooler.

The Griffon, Busch Gardens new roller coaster, is okay but it is not worth a 45 minute wait to get on. The ride I believe is much too short. Matter of opinion, however.

The Alpengeist and Apollo's Chariot (watch out for the geese; remember Fabio in 1999 when he got goosed riding Apollo's Chariot :-)) is much better. Kidding about the geese.

Loch Ness Monster, is okay but after the first time the ride is no big deal. Too slow!!! When you drive 85+ mph down interstate, like I do, 60 mph would feel slow.

Big Bad Wolf Roller Coaster is so-so!!

Corkscrew Hill will give you an ant's eye view to the world. Curse of DarKastle, just like Corkscrew Hill, is also a 3-D ride.

Roman Rapids will leave you soaked. Log Flume, a water roller coaster, is an old favorite. Escape From Pompeii, also a water ride, will give you the expereince of being at Pompeii when Vesuvius erupted.

Battering Ram is, as long as you ride towards either end of the boat, a pretty good ride.

There are plenty of children's rides, also.

Bring plenty of money with you. Busch Gardens is expensive. A bacon chesseburger, large drink, large fries, and a strawberry plata will cost about $15.50 per person.

If you have not been to Busch Gardens since you were 3 years-old than you would enjoy the park and all the rides.

It is just a shame that it is already June because you could have bought a "Fun Card", offer expired May 31st, where you would pay for a day and you could come back all spring and summer without having to pay for park admissions, again. There is a catch, however. You have to be living in Virgnia to take advantage of this offer and the card expires on Labor Day.

I've been to King's Dominion SO many times, it's not even fun anymore. Busch Gardens is WAY better, plus they have more of a theme to it than King's Dominion, and you can enjoy a different variety of stuff! Are you from VA?

Busch Gardens is much more pleasing to the eye. All the employees dress up. You almost feel like you in old Europe. You won't be disappointed. For lunch, eat BBQ in New France. Eat dinner at the Festhaus in Germany while listening to the Germans play you favorite German tune. And get desert at the ice cream shop in France.

I think Busch Gardens is more of an "experience". They put a lot of care into presentation and customer service. Expensive- but fun. Go there.
