i know a lot of people say its impossible to know, but with two of my children i just knew, i felt hot in the middle of the night, and i am convinced that is when my egg got fertilized! at that stage i didn't know too much about ovulation, i also just felt different, couldn't put my finger on what it was but i just felt weird. i have to say though when you are actively trying to conceive our minds can play tricks on us, i think its a mixture of hope and want, a few people told me that in early pregnancy(before positive test) that they found it difficult to hold their stomachs in for more that a few seconds... also i think that sore boobies can be a good sign, but only if they feel different to the normal PMS symptoms!... i am hoping that you are pregnant, and if not that you are soon.... good luck!

I think it's considered ''spotting'' and not a period, but you definately are not pregnant if there was any bleeding, so you don't have to worry about that and you can go ahead and keep taking your pills (which you should take two today and two tomorrow so you can be up to date) Your period would be weird like that if you were very stressed the week before or the week of your period, if you were sick and had to take many pain relievers or antibiotics, and if you exercised much more vigorously than often, if you took your pills took late or too soon (should be every 24 hours) and there are a few more reasons for crazy periods, too. I hope everything is okay! (PS I had weird periods for about 6 months and I went to the endocrinologist and it turned out that I had PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome - which causes messed up periods, small weight gain, stomach aches, ulcers, cysts, and infertility =( so you might check that if it lasts long )

I got a positive test 8 days before I missed my period. It was 6 days past ovulation and there isn't much HCG at that time, so I didn't have any symptoms yet. My nausea started a few days after I had missed my period. I'm trying for baby #2 right now, but am not taking a test that early this time because it made my first trimester drag on forever is seemed.

I had 3 pregnancies and knew before my missed period. I would have symptoms. The funny thing is for me I would notice an attraction to certain colors in the store. Blue I remember was the attraction for my first one (wound up being a boy) approx. 1-2 weeks before I was due for my period with each one I knew by little signs..back ache, color thing, already throwing up and different cravings with my first.
This is how I found out, and your talking 12 years ago. I would assume that the home pregnancy tests are better now. I would do a home pregnancy test. It at first would come out negative..(after waiting the 5 Min's. or so)...later an hour or two...I would think to myself 'how could that be negative, I just know I'm pregnant.' I then looked back in the trash and wahlah!!! a very faint positive was there...Did it with each one and always knew before my period was due...Give it a shot and let us know what happens....
Good luck, hope you get your wish!!!!

I knew I was the day before my period was supposed to start. Everyone says that every pregnancy is different! Maybe you are pregnant! Try to take a home pg test! Good luck!

About 1 week before my missed period, I started to have EXTREMELY sore nipples/breasts. Normally my nipples do get sore before my period, but nothing that bad. I wasn't worried that month about getting pregnant, so I really didn't think about it. But, in the back of my mind, I thought it was a tad bit odd that I was having such soreness in my breasts and thought "maybe I could be pregnant............nah". That was my only indicator....no nausea, nothing. BUT, 7 days after my missed period, I realized that I was that late, took a test and boom, it was positive. I probably could have breathed on it and it would have turned positive, ha ha!

I knew I was pregnant with my second and third child before my missed period. But there were also months that I was positive I was pregnant and then got my period, so, you'll have to wait to test.
