build your own. Or order a Dell w/o vista.

You can build one yourself, or have a place build one for you.

Then just get a copy of XP or whatever you want, and load it yourself.

Or just buy a machine with vista on it, format the hard drive and load whatever you want on it (then if you got vista CD's you could try selling it to someone).

If you are worried about Vista, I haven't had a single problem out of the copy of vista home premium that came loaded on my dell laptop. I wouldn't suggest upgrading to it though, because it isn't that special.

Get a Dell with Ubuntu: http://www.dell.com/ubuntu

I use Ubuntu at home, it's really a good system. Not so much if you like video games, but I'm not much of a gamer. Have a nice day!

Just go to the shop and tell them what windows version you want put on, or build it yourself.
