Why does everyone seem to be against year round school? If i had it to do over again, i would have much rathered year round school. Instead of burning all your vacation when it's hot out, you get 3 weeks of vacation for every 10 weeks you go to school. i'd rather have 4 mini-vacations than 1 12 week vacation. talk about burnout...i'm thinking you'd be less burned out with year round school!!

I think year round school would be better for older kids because they could still get vacation time though not in a multiple month lump.
I think it would be good because it would be more realistic as to what it is like to be a working adult where you get some time off but are on a consistent schedule. Besides that it would also mean that their parents wouldn't need to alter their schedules so dramatically each year to accommodate the time their kids were at home. It would put less pressure on businesses and police who have to deal with kids who decide to cause trouble.
Vacation time would be needed but it doesn't need to be so much at one time. Make it more even.

Year round school with one or two weeks off at certain intervals would have been better for me back in high school because summer vacation tended to make me forget what I learned and it made me lazy. Either way, kids should be grateful that they get any vacation at all.

standard summer vacation cuz that gives the family a chance to take a vacation.

vacation you get a couple of months of fun, but then if you have year round school you get more and longer days off at school really i dont know

standard summer vacation! That is what I have, if we didn't have 3 months off, how would we forget everything we learned?????!!??

SUMMER VACATION! I'd go KRAZY if I didn't get those 3 months to myself, friends, and family!
