The game was horrible, and everybody on the pitch needs to share the blame. The referee seemed clueless, the Costa Ricans started asking for trouble, the Mexicans were instigating them. This was not what "the beautiful game" is supposed to look like. Too bad---the match started off having the potential to be a great one, and as soon as the first red card came out, everything fell a part, until finally by the time it was over it didn't even resemble a match.

OK...first of all how is it mexicos fault that Costa Rica has dirty players i mean damn every time Guardado got the ball he ended up on the floor and the red card was not on a foul im not sure why he got it but i think he insulted the ref now thats not mexicos fault that they are that stupid and either way mexico was gonna score the second half was mostly played in Costa Ricas territory they were bound to score and come on guadalupe beat mexico no they have been playing good but that comes to an end soon and as for the championship the final USA-Mexico with mexico adding another gold cup under their belt.

Well I could only follow the game with a match tracker but from what I could tell from that and everything else I've been hearing,....I have to agree with playmaker once again. I think that if Costa Rica didn't have as many red cards they could have won. Mexico did look like they were struggling during the game as I predicted they would but when they have an advantage at the end like they did then of course they'll be playing better. Having an advantage like they did at the end makes things easy for them and would make them look like they were playing better. The end of the game was an easy walk in the park fo them. I really have to wonder if they will even make it to the final. If they do they're only going to loose to the US.

OMG when will people stop bitching? Mexico won! That's that I don't care if the Costa Ricans played their little hearts out..they didn't manage to score and they played like pigs....to the people that didn't even watch the goddamn match...don't talk! Those retards that argue about that guy not touching Mexico's players that got red carded....he argued with and dissed the referee so he got red carded..you don't have to assault players to get one ya know...why aren't the English complaining about Huddlestone's red card...cause they take it like men! No matter what you say Mexico still won and you can't talk **** about them deserving it or not until after Thursday's game

Well Costa Ricans weren't playing all that great either. Mexico started playing a bit better when extra time began. But I can't say they won a well-fought match. Guadaloupe has been a great surprise. Lets wait and see what happens.

that was a terrible display of football by both teams. no mexico didnt deserve to win they were up one player and couldnt manage to score in the 90 minutes. unfortunatly in this sport it is not about who deserved it but of who scores and that was mexico. mexico is not improving and are barely getting through.the ref was dreadful he didnt have control of the game.

It's true they haven't been doing there best lately, i know they have a lot more to give. But i still think they deserve to win. And they won so what's the big deal.
