What computer degree will get me a good paying job in a growing field that isn't being outsourced?

I have heard so many computer jobs are being outsourced these days that computer degrees are becoming worthless. What, if any, computer degree can i get that will get me a job in a growing and high paying field?

It is depends on your interest. But i prefer networking, database programming, graphics/ web design and animation programming to get best job or start business.

the source of the degree is not so much an issue as the lack of work experience. the IT Industry has been like that for a very long time, since the early 90's. employers want to hire engineers that can report to work and produce on the first day. there are many people out there than can pass exams to get certifications and degrees but are just not good engineers. I would suggest trying to get a part-time job doing anything in Technology so when you do graduate with a AAS or BS you will already have several years experience in the real world along with the degree. I graduated with a BS in EE and CE (10th in my class) in '89 and couldn't get a good job as I had no work experience and after job hunting for 6 months I joined the military.

Computer repair would be my best guess. People want them fixed right away and dont have time to ship them off and back. If you would go to their place of business or home, you would still have a job that cant be outsourced to another country.

ok if you already have bcs degree then after you have experience and time in which all programmers have to do as no one starts at the top you can advance to cmii being a team leader, also take a solution annalist's course as this is already a needed position field companies are looking for.
