Pride I guess. To be better, the first. Blah blah blah...
I live in America. It gets really annoying here! I hate the superior attitude a lot of people have over here regarding other countries and cultures, and needing to be the first and the best. Ugh. Can't we just sit back and let another country accomplish something first for once?

What?!?

Stem cell research has been an issue for years....at least the ethics of it. So, once we get past that part, it is a wonderful thing. And, being a capitalist country comes with that competition...the need to be number one.

Really, its all about power, if your country does something better than the next you have power over that country, Especially in business if we are better than another country in something they will come to us for it and exporting starts to boom. It's all money making

First you get the Money, then you get the power, than everyone respects you.

Money Power Respect is the key to life..

If my country could be number one at not being hated by all the other countries, I'd settle for that and that alone.

Unfortunately my country (Mexico) is almost number one in these varied issues:

1.- In poverty
2.- In corruption
3.- In hunger for a true democracy

Do you think I feel that proud as you suggest?
