As long as the cons don't have to fight, they'll "support" the war 100%.
And by support, I mean put stickers on their car.

This war was entered into under blatant lies by the Bush administration. It is against the will of the American people. It is a civil war and it is unwinnable by outside forces. All we have done there is get a bunch of good people killed. American soldiers need to leave Iraq. If there is necessary work to be done there, then it needs to be done by UN peacekeeping forces and not just America.
Bush has ridden roughshod over the will of the American people for years now. This mess has gone on longer than WW2 and no end or progress is in sight. The way to fix a mistake is not to do more and more of it. We are still there because George cannot and will not be man enough to say he lied and this is a huge mistake. Until this fool is out of office, more and more good American soldiers will be sacrificed to the might Bush/Cheney ego. They should both be impeached.

The righty's said the same thing about the Vietnam war, but I don't remember any of the Communist coming over to America except for a few refugees. The refugees are now a part of the American society and pay taxes. The nuclear threat thing is as bogus as WMD's in Iraq. America had a real threat with the USSR, but with our GPS tracking capabilities the righty's have no education over their isn't any threat. NORAD is still in operation and the missiles are still armed on our soil. America still has Virgina class submarines armed and ready. There is constant GPS tracking in America concerning anything nuclear. The Pat Robinson uneducated have no clue.

No. Yes, Iraq will be a long fight but we can win, and their's immense value in that. Bringing democracy to the Middle East can go a long way to earn us points with other Middle Eastern nations. All the US needs to do is stay there. If war were easy and it could be over tomorrow, this would be a non-issue. But war is not easy.
The majority of you people have no compassion for the Middle East, only hatred for Bush. You want to see the war on his watch fail to make him look like a failure.

We started this mess in Iraq we need to stay there to finish it. Bush told us going in that it was going to be a long war. Why did any expect it would be over in a few years?

Yes Bush said it was going to be a long fight, in fact he said so in the speech he made on the aircraft carrier below the mission accomplished sign. Bush never said mission accomplish. Read a transcript of his speech. The crewmen on the ship put up the mission accomplished sign because their mission was accomplished. They were going home.

And the truth will set you free.
Consider this as well... Why are we trying to stop insurgents in Iraq in the first place? What possible benefit could that have to the US? Stopping terrorism? Nope. They do that no matter where we are. All we did is concentrate our soldiers there and kill them off faster, while paying out millions to the military industrial complex so they could get rich.
It is impossible for any military family to sit there and really believe that their sons and daughters, mother and fathers are dying for something other that the wealth of the administration and their friends. There is only so much lying one can do to one's self.
